FIELD SERVICE MANAGER

Job Summary:

The Field Service Manager position oversees the service technicians who perform on-site routine services including installation, commissioning, training and maintenance on Parsons-Eagle and Temco machines. The Field Service Manager is the first point of contact for the customer and resolves technical issues utilizing engineering, manufacturing, and other internal personnel as needed. Additionally, the Field Service Manager is responsible for the scheduling and training of the service technicians as well as preparation of customer estimates and invoices..

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the field service schedule.
  • Coordinate field solutions with sales, customer service, engineering, and manufacturing.
  • Prepare customer estimates for potential field service visits.
  • Provide support and guidance to field service technicians to ensure safe, timely and quality customer service.
  • Identify and address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and proactively obtain customer feedback on machine performance.
  • Review and approve all field service technician timesheets, expense reports and other documentation for accuracy and timely completion of customer invoices.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional manner in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience with scheduling of technical personnel preferred.
  • Technical experience with net weigh scales, vertical form-fill-seal and other packaging machinery.
  • Experience with machine assembly, electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, PLC programming and technical writing.
  • Ability to resolve problems and professionally communicate in time sensitive, customer focused environments.
  • Competence in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate with customers.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal working hours, as required.
  • Must be team player, willing to grow and take direction in a high energy work environment.

PURCHASING/PLANNING COORDINATOR

Job Summary:

Our Purchasing/Planning Coordinator will perform support for our Purchasing Department. Under general guidance, this position performs support duties related to all aspects of our purchasing and planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Review MRP generated requirements in specifically assigned buyer/planner codes and place orders for corresponding needs.
  • Entry of work orders and process internal work order packets.
  • Expediting from internal areas and outside vendor sources.
  • Resolve issues regarding parts internally or vendor supplied with nonconforming issues.
  • Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to resolve shipping discrepancies.
  • Ability to be backup on expedited parts for new or existing purchase orders.
  • Review project shortage reports to determine progress through internal shop processes.
  • Move new and revised engineering drawings to appropriate final system folder location.
  • Research and establish new vendor contacts.
  • Manage and disposition obsolete inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in custom manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Prior schooling in Purchasing Production Controls or previous experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with MS Office and other computer systems.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must be team player, willing to grow and take direction in a high energy work environment.

FACILITIES AND SAFETY COORDINATOR

Job Summary:

Facilities and Safety Coordinator will manage all building and infrastructure systems, oversee all building and grounds maintenance, and manage safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all building and infrastructure systems including security, electrical, HVAC, lighting, fire alarm, compressed air, powder coating, plumbing, and roofing.
  • When applicable, coordinate all construction related activities.
  • Participation in and oversight of building and grounds maintenance, cleaning, snow removal, refuse/chip pickup, etc. and coordination to ensure schedules are aligned with all operating areas.
  • Develop and manage schedule for preventative maintenance and conduct regular facilities inspections.
  • Recommend vendor selection for services and ensure communication with contractors and service providers.
  • First point of contact for security and fire alarms.
  • Perform and manage daily maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain company vehicles.
  • Manage office workspace assignments.
  • Provide safety oversight and leadership in implementation of safety initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and conduct safety training programs.
  • Oversee documentation, tracking, and analysis of all safety and OSHA reports.
  • Conduct work area safety audits and provide input on improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with employees and customers to optimize working relationships and communication.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably 5-10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude to understand, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other computerized systems. Able to understand and work with computer-controlled systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to oversee and manage activities of external resources.
  • Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills, able to understand complex systems, able to review data, and able to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule based on business needs and needs of the position, with some nights, weekends, and on-call availability.
  • Ability to be forklift certified.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Self-motivated high-energy team player, accepting of responsibility, able to take direction and work independently.
  • Responsive to requests and able to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining positive attitude.
